240 Pots to be put down in a 80-88 hr season?
Jan 20 2009, 9:01 AM EST
Thanks, CrabCrusher for posting these pics to better explain this pattern. My question to you is "how can someone place 240 pots (80 pots in the small pattern and 160 pots in the large pattern) within the 80-88 hr window we have for the king crab season? Is it recommended to do both of these patterns or only do one of these patterns within the season limit? Please advise.

When you get the 4-40 pot strings(160) set you remove the 2 smaller strings(80) that in the the center all you have left is the 4 -40 pot strings. You DO NOT LEAVE THE 2 CROSS STRINGS IN PLACE if you notice the 3rd pic i think it is the 2 smaller strings are gone just leaving the 160 pots.I hope this will clear up any questions if ya have any other questions go to the GREENWAVE FORUM'S and click on the PC and go to the thread about the COMPASS PATTERN and that should clear up everything. PLUS THE SEASON CAN DIFFER. I ONCE HAD A KING SEASON WHERE THE SEASON WENT ON FOR 167 HOURS.
