PICS OF THE 4 STRING COMPASS PATTERNThis is a featured page

This pic is what the pattern looks like when done2 40 pot cross strings @ 0.1 miles apart This is what the pattern looks like after placing the 4 main strings onto the cross strings
The Pattern is 4-40 pot strings are the only thing that is left the 4 inner strings are REMOVED after placing the 4 main strings. The above picture is what the pattern looks like after setting your main strings. Then all you do is remove the 2 inner 40 pot strings leaving you with 4-40 pot strings in a compass pattern NORTH SOUTH EAST & WEST. I hope this clears up any questions one may have.

CanadianCrabCatcher 240 Pots to be put down in a 80-88 hr season? 3 Feb 27 2009, 12:47 PM EST by ccalby

Thanks, CrabCrusher for posting these pics to better explain this pattern. My question to you is "how can someone place 240 pots (80 pots in the small pattern and 160 pots in the large pattern) within the 80-88 hr window we have for the king crab season? Is it recommended to do both of these patterns or only do one of these patterns within the season limit? Please advise.
